I'm wondering this for NAT-PMP and UPnP actually, specifically for port 443. Anyone know if there's anything special I need to do to map 443, or should it just work? Is this specified in the UPnP and/or NAT-PMP specs, or is it possibly NAT implementation specific?

Just looking for as many details as possible on that topic. Thanks so much!

There is nothing special with port 443.
If you need more details see http://tools.ietf.org/html/rfc6886
and http://upnp.org/specs/gw/igd2/
