Detailed info is here https://trac.transmissionbt.com/ticket/3452

Basically this diff https://trac.transmissionbt.com/changeset/10910 of code makes Transmission unable to redirect the port, but if "== UPNP_IGD_VALID_CONNECTED" is not checked the port redirect is done and the port is open.

PD: Is possible to avoid the restriction of 1 post before be able to post links by editing the first one Smile

The router is bugged, not miniupnpc.

It worked before, I suppose not following the standard but it worked.

Even the linux kernel have a lot of workarrounds for well know hardware bugs, what makes miniupnp so special to not consider buggy hardware?

miniupnpc has also some workaround for buggy HW.
But I dont want to put some workaround that makes it fails to work with other HW...
The application could offer a configuration so it uses the IGD found even if detected as invalid or not connected. But that should not be the default behaviour.

I have translated the suggestion to the Transmission ticket. The buggy router is a Huawei Echolife HG553, just if someone finds this one.

Thanks.
