Microsoft has the Internet Connectivity Evaluation Tool on their website : http://www.microsoft.com/windows/using/tools/igd/default.mspx

I also use the Microsoft Internet Connectivity Evaluation Tool. This works really well for me. It's easy, and doesn't require any installation. For me this seems to be the easiest way to go.
