Hey

We're using miniupnpc in Tomahawk to setup port forwarding, but recently it has failed in a lot of cases especially with german Fritz.Box devices.
Is there an easy test tool to make sure it's not miniupnpc's but our fault? Or a tool to generate data about the failure to submit it to you?

First of all, some routers have bugged UPnP IGD implementations. One should test using other UPnP client software.
The microsoft evaluation tool is also useful:
http://www.microsoft.com/windows/using/tools/igd/default.mspx

Then you can test using the command line client provided with miniupnpc.

Hehe, after a micro-fix in our code it seems to work pretty good now Cool

Is there any way to be notified by the router when the external ip changes?

One should use UPnP eventing. But miniupnpc doesnt implement eventing...
that would need having a HTTP port open to receive Events from UPnP devices...
