I'm having problems getting uPnP enabled programs talking to miniupnpd. I should say here that I am trying to do this over OpenVPN.
I am testing it with the windows miniupnp client, with the following command:
Code: | upnpc-shared.exe -a 172.16.0.2 32929 32929 tcp |
From what I understand, this should multicast around and the miniupnpd will reply and configure the port forwarding from there. However, I can never get the above command to find miniupnpd.
If I specify the miniupnpd server (with -u ht tp://172.16.0.1:1025/rootDesc.xml), it forwards the port perfectly.
So any ideas why it can't detect the the miniupnpd server automatically through the VPN tunnel, but can if manually specified? My initial suspicion was iptables, but using wireshark I can see the miniupnpd send NOTIFY packets, and the client sending M-SEARCH packets. |
