Hi,

I was trying to use upnpc from Mac OS X installing it on a prefix other than /usr/local, but upnpc was unable to find libminiupnpc.8.dylib. The changed required to fix this problem was relatively simple. Prepending INSTALLDIRLIB to a linker option was the solution.

From the Makefile, look for the line containing:
Code:
-Wl,-install_name,$(SONAME)

Then change it to:
Code:
-Wl,-install_name,$(INSTALLDIRLIB)/$(SONAME)

I hope this change gets merged into the next release.

Cheers,

~Jaeho

Update: After reading dyld(1), I found this could also be done using relative path:
Code:
-Wl,-install_name,@executable_path/../lib/$(SONAME)
