Apparently Transmission BitTorrent client uses miniupnp.
I reported this bug:
trac.transmissionbt[dot]com/ticket/4930
(Apparently I can't post the URL. Just replace the dot.)
As it reads there, transmission is not able to forward the ports if MiniDLNA (a DLNA server that uses UPnP protocol) is running. if I first stop minidlna and restart transmission, ports get forwarded correctly. Later I can restart minidlna and both work together correctly.
Router is TP-LINK WR340GD.
Is this a router problem, a miniupnp bug or a upnp limitation?

Nevermind. I found the answer. I had to install minissdpd and set its socket in minidlna.conf.
Now after a reboot it is working. |

Indeed there are issue when several UPnP software have to cooperate on the same machine. That's what MiniSSDPd is for _________________ Main miniUPnP author.
