My customer need a feature , they say run miniupnpd need to use non-root user acount permission , but we try to use non-root user acount permission , miniupnpd can't set rule to iptables , do have any resolve ??

if iptables needs root permissions, then miniupnpd needs root too
If you find a way to run iptables without root, you'll be able to do so for miniupnpd too.

Hi All
We found a hard way to do this, my colleague work miniupnpd by non-root user acount , and modify seteuid to call iptables function (iptcrdr.c ) .
When need to do iptcrdr functions , reset uid is root account permission by seteuid method , after done , reset uid back.

Now we tried miniupnpd it work success and can set rules.
It sound strange , but the customer hope this , btw is HuawOO's Safety red .
