Hi,
I'm still trying to understand why my son cannot access Fortnite either on his PS4 or from his PC, but it looks like miniupnpd probably is working. He only stopped being able to access it a couple of weeks ago, probably caused by an update to the game. His friends still can and that points to my gateway.
I've updated to the latest miniupnpd.
In the gateway, if I set up a port forward, the gateway translates this into 3 rules, FORWARD, PREROUTING (DNAT rule) and POSTROUTING (SNAT rule).
Miniupnpd seems to set up the FORWARD rule (via the filter table MINIUPNPD chain) and the PREROUTING rule (by the nat table MINIUPNPD chain), but it does not seem to set up a POSTROUTING rule via the MINIUPNPD-POSTROUTING chain. In fact, it never seems to use the MINIUPNPD-POSTROUTING chain at all. What is the purpose of it and how is it used? |

So is not relevant for the issue I have, then?
Presumably you are implying that a POSTROUTING SNAT rule is not needed to get port forwarding working correctly? |
