I would love to see miniupnpd dump its output to /var/log/debug.log, instead of having to launch it with the -d flag.

I'm not sure how much work is involved, but it would be nice to see some level of logging.

It is allready sending messages to /var/log/messages (depending on your syslog configuration).

you can edit the config.h file to change the log facility and edit miniupnpd.c if you want to change the mask : setlogmask() is called here.
You can also play with /etc/syslog.conf ...
